Many printers and copiers are built by one manufacturer, but re-branded and released as different models under other manufacturer names.
Owners of printers released under these other names may have difficulty finding parts for their model if the re-branding company goes out of business or stops selling parts. Parts purchased through a re-branding company may also be much more expensive
A cross-reference guide is useful in this case, because it helps determine what manufacturer and model the printer / copier is based on. Most parts for re-branded machines can be purchased for the original model and used easily on the re-branded model. This works well with many parts and some supplies. However, many re-branded models are modified so they can use supplies only designed for their exact model.
To use our Cross Reference Tool, select the manufacturer and model of the printer / copier / fax device you are researching and we will return any information we have on compatible models, marking which is the primary when possible.
