What should I use to clean my plexiglass?

With so many new glass and plexiglass partitions and dividers going up, many are asking how best to clean these shields.

 There are many options, but some are better than others. Because plexiglass is easily scratched and sensitive to some chemical cleaners, generally, you want to:

• Blow off dust particles before touching the surface


• Use a soft, lint-free cloth


• Use a mild, safe cleaning solution


• Use gentle pressure to avoid scratches

According to wikihow.com, in “How to Clean Plexiglass:”

Avoid using products with alcohol, ammonia, or aromatics. Products like Windex, which contain alcohol, will significantly damage plexiglass. Also avoid solvents such as acetone, dry-cleaning fluid, or any gritty cleanser or polish, as they will damage the surface of the plexiglass.
