Definition of IU

IU
1.  Imaging unit; sometimes referred to as copier-cartridge. An imaging system in which all or many of the consumable and maintenance items are located such as toner and developer. Photoconductor, corona wires, wiper blade, etc. are sometimes combined in one module which may be user-disposable/ recyclable.
