multi-feeder / multi-feed unit
1.  Also known as "bypass." Device which allows feeding of media that is not loaded in a cassette, drawer or elevator unit. Typically, multi-feeder allows copying of occasional and exotic materials such as index cards, transparencies, labels, etc.
