Definition of waste toner

waste toner
1.  Toner that does not transfer to paper and is disposed of or recycled. Waste toner is collected in a waste toner bottle or a waste toner container.
More Information:
Waste toner is excess toner that remains on the drum surface after printing. This excess toner is removed from the drum by a cleaning blade and is discarded to a waste toner bottle or container. Please note that waste toner cannot be used again by the printer.
